ASIC Bans Glenda Maree Rogan for 10 Years
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has banned Ms Glenda Maree Rogan from providing financial services for a period of ten years. ASIC determined that Ms Glenda Rogan engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct in breach of financial services.
Ms Rogan was an accountant and financial adviser at Fincare Planning Pty Ltd, Fincare Private Wealth Pty Ltd, and Fincare Accounting Pty Ltd—operating in Sutherland and Wollongong. She served as a director of these companies at various times between May 2014 and 8 February 2024, and was an authorised representative of Private Wealth Pty Ltd from 10 November 2020 until 8 February 2024.
Between March 2022 and June 2023, while working with the Fincare group of companies and as an authorised representative of AFS licensee Private Wealth Pty Ltd, Ms Rogan, who was based in Sutherland Shire and Wollongong, transferred at least $14.8 million of client, family, and friend investments into a cryptocurrency-based scam.
Ms Rogan misled investors by falsely presenting the scheme as a high-yield fixed-interest account, downplaying risks and misrepresenting it as a legitimate offering through her role at Fincare. Investor funds were deposited into bank accounts controlled by Ms Rogan or her personal company, converted to cryptocurrency, and transferred to wallets associated with ‘The Financial Centre’.
The Financial Centre are an unlicensed and untrustworthy UK-based platform that is listed on ASIC’s Investor Alert List. ASIC found it likely that Ms Rogan harboured doubts about the legitimacy of this platform from as early as October 2022.
Ms Rogan has not been licensed since 8 February 2024.
Effective 6 June 2025, Ms Rogan is banned, for a decade, from:
Providing any financial services, or
Controlling any entity that carries on a financial services business.
Glenda Maree Rogan has been added to ASIC’s banned and disqualified register.
